03Detail

DASH 89 explores the tension between protection and vulnerability, questioning how clothing can become both armour and a second skin. Inspired by Colombian Gravity Bikers who navigate urban landscapes with self built bicycles and improvised protective gear, the collection captures the balance between risk, resilience, and freedom. The visual codes of motorsport are deconstructed and reimagined for a fictional post fossil future. Racing silhouettes, protective elements, and performance references are transformed into garments that blur the boundaries between function and expression. Created exclusively from upcycled and deadstock materials, DASH 89 focuses on transformation through experimental pattern cutting, material manipulation, and handcrafted details. The collection reflects on human vulnerability and explores how clothing can represent protection, identity, and a more conscious future.

04 — Approach

From Concept to Collection

My Design Process

From the first spark of inspiration to the final garment, my process is guided by concept, material experimentation, and craftsmanship. Many ideas evolve directly on the body through draping and hands-on exploration, while existing materials are carefully selected and allowed to shape the design process. By responding to the unique qualities of each fabric, I create garments that are both conceptually driven and consciously crafted.

Research

My research and inspiration process is driven by curiosity and the desire to explore new perspectives. I collect impressions, ideas, materials, and visual references that gradually develop into concepts and shape the direction of my designs.

02

Concept Development

The collected ideas and references are translated into concepts, silhouettes, and visual directions. Through experimentation and reflection, the design language of the collection begins to take shape.

03

Material & Form Exploration

Materials play an essential role in my design process. Through hands-on experimentation, draping, and testing existing materials, I explore new forms and structures that guide the development of each garment.

04

Pattern Development & Construction

Through experimental pattern cutting, hands-on exploration, sewing, and craftsmanship, concepts are transformed into carefully crafted final garments.
